Marketing Manager

Job Purpose

The Marketing Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the Marketing Department, through developing, and executing strategic marketing plans for Synapse, in order to attract potential customers and retain existing ones. This includes brand development, managing and coordinating marketing and creative staff, leading market research efforts to uncover the viability of current and existing products/services, liaising with media organizations and organizing all communication efforts.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing Planning & Strategy
  • Develop an annual marketing plans to fulfil sales and brand objectives and outline marketing activities.

  • Develop and manage marketing budget.

  • Manage brand presence and ensure adherence to brand guidelines across all materials.

  • Develop pricing strategies for Synapse’s products and services.

  • Hire, train and supervise Synapse’s marketing team.

  • Ensure clear roles and responsibilities among team members

  • Manage Marketing budget, and approve expenditure over physical events and digital campaigns across various digital channels including social media, search engine, etc.

  • Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies and vendors

Digital Communication
  • Design & deploy successful marketing campaigns from ideation to execution in collabortion with marketing team. communication campaigns and cascade.

  • Manage the Company’s presence on various digital channels particularly LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.

  • Oversee the development of monthly content plans with digital marketing team

  • Ensure website design & content are regularly updated, and are reflective of brand & company development.

  • Ensure digital marketing team is applying appropriate digital strategies to strengthen digital presence and expand brand footprint.

  • Develop strategies and tactics to boost the company’s reputation and drive qualified traffic

  •  Experimenting with various organic and paid acquisition channels like content creation, content curation, pay per click campaigns, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, copywriting, performance analysis

  • Analyze consumer behavior and adjust email and advertising campaigns accordingly

  • Review monthly digital performance reports prepared by digital marketing specialist to identify patterns, issues and make the necessary changes.

  • Review online ad reports to ensure effective and efficient budget expenditure.

Non-Digital Communication
  • Upgrade Synapse’s brand identity and develop a full-fledged brand manual.  

  • Oversee the design and development of all digital and print branding & communication materials.

  • Document Ellie’s success stories into anonymous case studies to be published on LinkedIn or used in various client engagements.

  • Coordinate with Business development department to provide them with needed materials, product/client portfolios, case studies, etc.

  • Manage Synapse’s media relations, issue media releases, establish connections with media partners and ensure media presence.

Events
  • Manage Synapse’s presence in appropriate conferences and events to strengthen brand positioning and awareness, as well as for business development and networking purposes.

  • Secure such presence through partnerships/deals with conference organizers

  • Ensure an appropriate presence for Synapse through branding materials, case studies, product demos and staff representation.

Qualifications
  • At least 5 years marketing experience in the technology industry, start-up experience is preferred.

  • Fluency in Arabic with excellent written and spoken English.

  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively

  • Budget-management skills and proficiency

  • Professional judgment and discretion that comes from years of experience in the field

  • Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges

  • Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production, etc.

Working Conditions
  • Commitment: Full-Time

  • Location: 129 ElMerghany St, ElMerghany, Cairo, Egypt

  • Working Hours: 8 hours/day, 10AM - 6PM with Flexibility
